McIntosh has announced that it will release their much anticipated MVP881BR Universal Blu-ray player in October. As a universal player, it will also support audiophile formats SACD and DVD-Audio, as well as CD and DVD. The price has not yet been set.

Attached are the statistics comparing January through July for 2008 versus 2009. As you can see, we have made an incredible recovery over just the last 2 months. Two months ago we were off 35% in the number of transactions; now we are only off 25%. Two months ago, price was down 15%; now we are only off 11%.

Rumor has it that the next must have product from Apple will be a 10″ tablet device. The latest internet rumors claim that the upcoming tablet will come in two possible versions, one for educational use and one with a Web cam and will feature an OLED screen. Reports state that the much anticipated device will look a lot like a giant iPhone or iPod touch and will even have the same home button now used on the iPhone. The speculated price for the tablet is reported to be between $700 and $900 and is expected to be launched sometime toward the end of 2009 or beginning of 2010.

I read an interesting article today that says that Microsoft will rebate their sales commision to you if you use their new web search tool, Bing, to buy something online. While I don’t really like the “feel” of Bing, I might be convinced to use Bing for a purchase just see how the process works.
